Bonnie Carnes
Bonnie started her nursing career as an ICU RN but transitioned 40 years ago into the dialysis and transplant specialty areas. Throughout her career, Bonnie’s primary focus has been to empower providers and patients to achieve successful outcomes. She is proficient in operational, clinical, regulatory and educational components for outpatient hemodialysis and peritoneal programs as well as acute and self care programs.
She has worked as a kidney transplant coordinator, direct care dialysis nurse, charge RN, clinical manager, area administrator, director of operations and vice president of support services. For the past 6+ years she has been a renal industry consultant for a new medical device company.
As a consultant, Bonnie has worked with many providers that are launching new dialysis programs. She assists with regulatory requirements as well as staffing challenges, policy developments, program logistics, educational program development, QAPI, survey readiness, physical space planning and preparation and all things related to establishing a well-functioning program.
